Offer Members an Exciting Year
Fun, food, drink, and merrymaking are the plans for this year's Numismatics Club, according to Carl Burval '66, secretary. This year the club members decided to spend the treasury on frolicking festivities.

Besides meeting on the third Thursday of every month in D-110, the club sets up educational displays throughout the school year for the benefit of the students. Moreover an occasional movie is featured at the meetings or a talk by some distinguished guest.

"We don't like to refer to ourselves as coin collectors, but numismatists," relates sponsor, Mr. Everett Barrett, shop teacher, at the first meeting.

On the agenda for the next meeting the constitution and bylaws will be reviewed, along with the plans for a coming auction or trading session, and payment of the $1 club dues.

"I know for a fact that there are many coin collectors in this school who are not coming to Coin Club. But we hope that they come to their senses in time to attend the next meeting," announced Lee Hayward '64 president, along with Bill Swanson '66, vice‑president.
Opening night of "Beyond the Fringe" October 7, will find the members of the Maine West Theater Club in the audience. This will be the first of the five or six plays that the club will see this season.

Among the plays the club hopes to see are "Camelot," "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying," and "A Man for All Seasons."

Theater Club gives the students of Maine a chance to see the best of the plays from Broadway. By joining this club a student can better appreciate a good musical comedy as well as a drama.

Officers for '63-'64 are president, Jane Pressl '64; secretary, Pat Koscal '65; and treasurer, Chris Sparrow '65. Mr. Marlan Davis, English teacher, is the sponsor.
