VOL. V, NO. 3
Name Homecoming Queen Tonite
The five girls chosen as members of the Homecoming Court, including the Queen of 1963, are Barb Bauman, Sue Dombrowski, Randi Johnson, Maureen Quinn, and Inger Svenson.
The honor of Queen will be given to one of the five tonight at the football game against Decatur‑Eisenhower during half‑time of the varsity game. The Queen will then reign over the rest of the game and will be crowned at the Homecoming Dance, "Autumn Haze," tomorrow night Saturday, October 19.
The girls were chosen at the Homecoming Assembly, October 15, by the entire student body. The ballots were counted by Mr. Glen Hoffman, Student Council sponsor, who notified those selected on Wednesday night.
Those nominated were Barb Bauman, Carol Bittel, Nancy Breitzke, Ardes Buckley, Sue Dombrowski, Peg Johnson, Randi Johnson, Kathy Kurtz, Donna Meier, Marge Pompilio, Maureen Quinn, Anita Steinert, Karen Struebing, and Inger Svenson.
Although only one girl out of the 14 can be made Queen tonight, each one has been made a princess for two weeks, while she wore a mum each day and had her picture displayed in the cafeteria.
