Harriers To Play in
New Section Meet
The varsity harriers shut out GB South Tuesday by a score of 15-49. The first West finishers were John Greco, 1st, 10:39; Don Kinder, 2nd, 10:47; Bob Biggs, 3rd, 10:56; Wayne Bushkin, 4th, 10:57; and Phil Boyce, 5th, 11:00.

Tonight the Warriors will enter the first sectional cross country meet of the newly formed Mid-Suburban Conference. It will be held at Mount Prospect Country Club with Forest View being the host school.

The varsity runners lost their second straight meet to Prospect on Thursday, October 10th, by a score of 24-34. Greco took first place honors but this was not enough to offset the powerful Knights whose runners took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th places. Other harriers placing were 5th, Don Kinder; 6th, Bob Biggs; 9th, Tom Johnstone; 11th, Rick Kehrer.

At the Conference meet the harriers will seek to better their fourth place standing of last year. Greco took fifth place last year as a sophomore and has an excellent chance of winning along with Weinert of Deerfield, who took fourth in last year's competition.
Frosh‑Soph Win

On the lower level, the thindads captured their sixth straight meet by a score of 20-37 over Prospect. They too will enter the Conference meet with good chances of winning. Phil Martin captured his sixth first place in dual meets and nay Todd followed with his sixth straight second place.

Others scoring were Ed Lusk, a very promising freshman, Kevin Flurkey, and Ron Harrigan, a sophomore newcomer to the team.

Of the 10 boys going to the Conference meet, however, only seven will run. The first five will be counted as scorers, the other two will he pushers. The score is added up to see what place the, team finished in the meet. This number and the number of Conference losses the team has, determines the final placing of the team.
