VOL. V, NO. 4
Dear Mr. Rider:
Last week the Sophomore, Junior and Senior Classes' Homecoming floats were all made on the 400 block of Amherst avenue. What could have been a tremendous nuisance was in reality a delightful experience for us because of the exemplary behavior of the teenagers. They were considerate, neat, quiet, and very patient with the small children who couldn't resist investigating their activity. In fact, I can't think of a single uncomplimentary thing to say about them.
The Student Council advisor did a wonderful job of supervision and his thoughtfulness personified as far as we immediate neighbors were concerned.
The parents, faculty, and administration of Maine West should be very, very proud of these young people, and I'd feel remiss if I didn't express the feelings of my husband and myself.
Yours truly,
Jean Johnson
