Sr. Play Opens Tonite
With Hope of Success
See How They Run, the Senior Class' traditional fall play, opens tonight on the auditorium stage for a run of two nights. From all indications, this farce by Phillip King will play to a full house each night.

The action takes place in the hail of the Vicarage at Mertoncum‑Middlewick, a small village in England. As the play opens, Mrs. Penelope Toop (Karen Rivard) is doing her singing exercises. Ida, the maid, (Barb Wherley and Pat Callaghan) cast askance glances towards the singing.

The next actor to appear is an elderly spinster, Miss Skillon (Betty Gano and Karen Colber) who comes to call on Mr. Lionel Toop, a Reverend about 36, (Eric Berg) about decorations for the church.

Later, in the first act Corporal Clive, a handsome young man in the U.S. Air Force (Davis Hall) appears at the Toop residence, much to the pleasure of the ladies. Penelope greets him by exclaiming, "Darling!" and rushes into his open arms.
Along after the opening of Act II, which is 10 p.m. of the same day, the Bishop (Dave Grant) enters just after Lionel receives a blow on the head and is dragged from the room by the Russian Spy (Don Deese). The next entry is made by the Reverend Arthur Humphry, a mild little man, (John Heckel). As he enters there is a loud fiendish yell from the garden.

Last of the cast to make an appearance is Sergeant Towers Dick Pate and Dave Gulich) who enters through a window in the latter part of Act III.

Thus the play revolves around mistaken identity, intertwining plots, and some eccentric characters. These ingredients have made See How They Run a hilarious, entertaining comedy wherever it has been performed.
