'Opportunity Is Excellent' Say Teachers
Pretty and intelligent are two words that accurately describe one of Maine West's new English teachers, Miss Linda Jenewein. Miss Jenewein has lived in Chicago all her life. She attended Northwestern University and received her teaching degree there.

When asked what was her first impression of Maine West, Miss Jenewein said, "I was here as a student teacher and my first impression was rather frightening, but I've grown to like it very much."

Music and sewing are hobbies of Miss Jenewein's. She plays the piano, the flute, and the organ in her spare time.

"Some of the opportunities for leadership, such as Student Council and other extra‑curricular activities are an excellent opportunity for students who wish to become teachers," stated Miss Jenewein.

Favorite pet peeves are students who don't hand in their work on time, and bus duty.
Operas, symphonies, plays, and collecting books are important parts of the social activities of Miss Faith Paul, one of Maine's new U.S. history, government, and democracy accelerated teachers.

Miss Paul did her undergraduate work at the University of Illinois, and has completed the course work in history and education at the University of Chicago for her master's degree. Before coming to Maine, she taught for one year at Evergreen Park High School.

The 5 feet 7 1/2 inch, brown haired, hazel eyed teacher believes that, "a balanced program of academic, sport, and other social activities play a very important part in the lives of all students."

About Maine and its students Miss Paul has this to say, "I have really enjoyed working with the students and the facilities of Maine."
