We promise to keep alive and radiant the torch of freedom, the principles of government, and the spirit of patriotism for which our country is known. These all represent the ideals our late president fought for during his brief, but monumental lifetime.
Furthermore, we realize the necessity for intelligent action now that an insecurity prevails within the minds of Americans. All the free nations of the world look to the United States; its leaders, the principles it up. holds, the freedoms it grants, and the peace which it maintains.
Although we are shocked by this deed which has marred the image of America, we will make our greatest effort to promote and maintain the American Way President John Fitzgerald Kennedy accomplished these feats, 'but now that he can no longer work to preserve American “ideals” we recognize that we must fill the great gap in the patriotic spirit of America left by his tragic death.
