Christmas Word
By Sue Conn '64

As I sit here on this Christmas Eve night, I hear a choir softly singing. The bright lights of the gaily decorated tree catch my eye and remind me of the star which glowed so brilliantly on the first Christmas night.
Still watching it, I wonder if I was sent here for a reason as Christ was. He was to bring peace unto men and comfort to their souls. Men have now long forgotten that and in exchange have unchained the atom which might destroy the world. Realizing this, even I, a mere individual, can also contribute to world peace and goodwill by showing less prejudice and donating my time and effort to attaining freedom and understanding among men.
