'Kiss Me Kate' To Open On March 12
On March 12th, 13th, and 14th the Broadway musical Kiss Me Kate, by Cole Porter, will be presented in the auditorium by the Music Department. This year's show will run three nights due to the success of last year's show, Brigadoon.

Playing the parts of the leading characters in the show will be Karen Rivard '64, as Lilli Vanessi, and Davis Hall '64, as Fred Graham. Dave Grant '64, and Debbie Quinn '65, will be understudies.

Kiss Me Kate is a comical take‑off on Shakespeare's The Taming of The Shrew. When asked about the show, Mr. Robert Kuite, musical director, commented, "Kiss Me Kate should be a great deal of fun to put on here. It is going to require a lot of work, but a first rate performance will be delivered."
Other students having roles are John Heckel '64 as Harry Trever; Betty Gano '64, as Lois Lane; Dick Oas '64, as Ralph; Barb Wherley '64, and Sue Conn '64, as Hattie; Don Deese '64, and Phil Hway '64, as Paul; Dave Grant '64, and Dave Humphreys '64, as Bill Calhoun; Tom Jacobs '64, and Richard Bayster '64, as the gangsters; Don Cameron '65, as Gremio; Jerry Tipperreiter '65, as Hortensice; and Neshian Keshian '64, as the cab driver.

"The Music Department has selected a very popular hit in Kiss Me Kate and casted some very talented individuals from the Music and Drama Departments of the school. We hope to have a very successful performance in March," said Mr. Wilbur Schafer, choral director.
