Names at MW Make News
"Remember the Maine" if you want a talking yearbook of all important student activities. This is the 1964 memory record which will be resold in the 'spring for $2. To date 227 have been sold.


Mr. Gerhard Rempel, social science teacher, is the lucky winner of a 54‑volume set of The Great Books of the Western World. Mr. Rempel won the books by submitting an appropriate question to the Chicago Sun Times, which appeared in the January 6th edition.


Two Maine music students, Arline Boyer '64, and Pat Martin '64, have been selected to participate in the Illinois State Music Educators Association Music Festival to be held in Peoria on January 24th and 5th.


The highlight of the recent Boys' Club Christmas formal, "Wintermist," was the presentation of Queen Donna Meier 64, and her court.  Donna's attendants and their escorts included Ardes Buckley '64, escorted by Cal Lewis '64; Debbie Quinn 65, escorted by Jerry Hanselman '65; Harriet Hall '65, escorted by John Larbert '65; and Nancy Gunn '67, escorted by Robert Larsen '64. Escorting the queen was Rich Bayster '64.
Steve Karina '65, won the recent Voice of Democracy contest which was judged by Mr. Donald Layton, social science teacher. Runners-up were Bev Buthman '65, John Hollenbeck 66, and Randy Dean '65 .
