VOL. V, NO. 8
Everyone is setting their sights on Valentine's Day and the sweet things that go with it‑heart‑shaped gifts, flowers, cards, etc. When Mainites were asked what they would like to receive for Valentine's Day, these were some of their replies:
Cheri Mercer '66, "I want some black socks to send to Chuck Esposito C.O.D."
Terry Hakala '65, " . . .to hear a few new jokes from Tom Jeske; his old ones are pretty bad."
Bill Stewart '65, "I want Dick Stover to buy a book of Profiles in Courage . . .so he won't borrow mine."
Greg Kriashian '67, "To have Cassius Clay beat Sonny Liston very soon."
Doug Hans '65, "Little red hearts lining my cross country shoes so they're nice to look at."
Reed Souter '66, "For Cupid, I want a set of rubber‑tipped arrows so it doesn't hurt so much."
Ken Bluhm '65, "Six new pairs of hands, one for each gymnastics practice during the week."
Linda Petkus '65, "To have the Girls' Choice Dance a success."
Joe Kilar '67, "A pair of red and green socks for everybody so I won't be the only one wearing them."
