Jane Pressl Is Awarded High Honor
How does it feel to be chosen one of the top high school English students in the nation? Jane M. Pressl '64, knows.
Jane was chosen 1963 winner in the annual Achievement Awards competition sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English. The certificate was presented to her by Mr. Daniel Holbrook, Language Department Chairman, Mr. William Ludolph, English Department Chairman, and Mr. Herman L. Rider, principal.

The NCTE will recommend Jane for a college scholarship in 1964. Almost all of the previous award winners entered the college of their choosing. Jane's name will be sent to her congressman, senators, and the governor by the council.
