| New Teachers Join Faculty | ||||||||||
| This year Maine West's faculty has grown greatly in size, with the addition of 30 new teachers. The social science department received the largest number of new teachers: Mr. Dcwane Barnes, who received his M.A. from Northern Illinois University; Mr. Walter Boston, who received his M.A. from the University of Michigan; Mrs. Nancy Ericson, who received her M.A. from the University of Illinois; Mr. William Kiddle, who received his MA, from Northern Illinois University; and Miss Myrna Sun Lane, who received her B.S. from Illinois State University. The English department has grown with the addition of five new teachers: Miss Edith Morris, who received her M.A. from the University of Michigan; Mrs. Joyce Newcomb, who received her B.A. from the University of Colorado; Miss Jean Poling, who received her B.S. from Northwestern University; Miss Lynett Solomon, who received her B.A. from Northwestern; and Mrs. Joan Plock, who received her M.S. from Indiana State University. Science Teachers The science department has two new teachers: Mr. Karl Miller, who received his M.A. from Iowa State college; and Mr. Earl Swearingen, who received his M.S. from Arizona State University. There are also two new teachers in the language department; Miss Clarice Burke, who received her B.A. from the University of Oklahoma; and Miss Bonnie Lehr, who received her B.S. from Northwestern. new additions to the mathematics department. The new teachers in the business education department are Miss Dolores Broncato, who rereceived her B.S. from Northern Illinois University; and Mrs. Nancy Kerby, who received her B.S. from Illinois State University. To add to the driver education department are Mr. Richard Fulk, who received his M.S. from Eastern Illinois University; and Mr. Richard Mueller, who received his B.S. from the University of Illinois. Miss Karen Adolf, who received her B.S. from the University of Wisconsin; and Mrs. Nancy Ferguson, who received her B.S. from the University of Illinois, are the new girls' physical education teachers. New Counselors Along with the many new teachers, Maine West has acquired three new counselors: Miss Mary Dueland, who received her M.E. from the University of Illinois; Miss Dorothy Riddle, who received her M.S. from Indiana University; and Mr. Sherman Roth, who received his M.S. from Northern Illinois University. Miss Sherrell Roberts, the new home economics teacher, received her M.S. from Iowa State University. Mr. Terrence Shannon, who received his MS. from Northern Illinois University; and Mr. Conrad White, who received his M.A. from the University of Illinois, are the two new teachers in the industrial arts department.
