| Fresh! Frosh! Frosh! Everywhere you look there are freshmen and talk about the size of them. There has not been one yet over four feet tall! Freshmen may think upper classmen feel superior to them; they are right. That is how it is when you are labeled "fresh." Just keep in mind that everyone is a fresh at one time, and that all freshmen have only four wonderful years to spend at Maine. Wonderful years is right! High school cannot be compared to anything today. These next four short years are going to be the most fulfilling, exciting years of life. Besides studying, Maine offers a wide selection of clubs to join and events to participate in. Dances throughout the year are looked forward to by all the students at Maine. | Yes, class of '68, (gee, that sounds like centuries away but it is not) the next thing you know you'll be walking down the aisle on graduation night remembering your four fast years at Maine. They go by quickly; you have to stay alert to enjoy them. Most of the frightening and nervous minutes are over for the class of '68. There is no time to feel out of place there is work to be done and places to go. So to all the members of the class of '68 and new students, welcome to Maine West. It is a privilege of free America to attend school, and each and everyone of you has the added privilege of attending Maine West. |
