| Attending Boys' State at Springfield this past summer were Dan Colvin '65, and Jim Thoma '65. Representing the girls at Girls' State in Jacksonville was Marilyn Skeppstrom '65. The Illinois State High School Press Association Convention, held at the University of Illinois in Urbana, was attended by members of the Westerner and Legend staff September 18th and 19th. |
Representing Maine West at the convention were Donna Batdorf '65, Nancy Carison '66, Kathy Flentge '65, Kenn Hempci '65, Kathy Orlowitz '65, Lorna Seitz '65, Diane Walsh '65, Linda Waters '66, and Jane Wolski '65, along with the sponsors of the Westerner and Legend, Mr. Gerald Royer and Mr. George Walker. "How The West Will Win" is the theme for homecoming this year. The floats will be carried out in a western style. All interested clubs are asked to decorate a car or build a float for the parade that will go through Des Plaines |
