Grandstands Are Initiated
Maine West students will be able to cheer their team to victory on the new bleachers and their own field for the first time in six years.

This summer, after three years of planning, the new bleachers became a reality. At a cost of about $4,500 they were built by the Standard Steel Company of Three Rivers, Michigan. The stands will have a seating capacity of 5,000.
A press box, which is located on the home side has adequate facilities for a public address system, announcers, scorekeepers, and the school radio station, WMTH.

A dedication date has not yet been set, although it will probably be on the day of a home football game.
