Art Objects Displayed

Wieboldts', at Randhurst Shopping Center, Mount Prospect, will display the 1965 Scholastic Art Award winners. The showing of artwork from the northwest region will start tomorrow, Feb. 20th, until March 6th.

Last Monday, a board of judges viewed the many works submitted from this region. Among them were over 400 works by Maine West students. They selected the best out of each of 19 categories for gold key awards and honorable mentions.
National Entries

The best of all the awardwinning works are then sent to New York for national award competition.

In each region in the United States, five Hallmark Awards are granted for the best five works in the painting and drawing catagories. Last year, Maine West students won two Hallmarks.

Regional Chairman

This year Mr. George Blanas, head of the Art Department at Maine, is serving as regional chairman of the Scholastic Art Awards presentation.
