Girls Pull Big Switch

By Kris Nielsen

"Fire and Ice" is this year's theme for the annual Girls' Choice dance. The date is set for March 6th in Maine's cafeteria from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Dress for the dance is suits and ties for the boys and wool sheaths and heels for the girls. Also, girls are to make a corsage or a sign for their boyfriends. Of course, the girls will also buy the tickets which have been sold in the cafeteria for $2.

"The dance should be a great success if there is a big response," said Linda Petkus '65, president.

A colorful decor of red and white will represent fire and ice. The dome in the center of the cafeteria will be in flames with dry ice gas coming out of the top. The windows of the cafeteria and of the social room will be frosted. Also, for a more pleasant setting, there will he a fallen ceiling.
Al Ford and his band will set the tune for a most unforgettable evening. All types of mu-sic, from the dog to waltz, will be featured.

Chairman for the dance are Joyce Klodz '66, publicity; Shirleen Ullrey '65, decorations; Susan Gray '67, refreshments; and Lynn Nielsen '67, tickets and bids.

Officers of Girls' Club are Linda Petkus, president; Kris Nielsen '66, vice president; Karen Klussendorf '65, secretary; and Melody Morrison '65, treasurer.

Sponsors are Mrs. Meridith Tucker and Miss Linda Jenewein. All members of Girls' Club have been putting forth a great deal of effort to make this year's dance the best Maine has ever had.

Get ready boys, for an invitation to the best attended dance of the year. And just think, you don't have to pay!
