MW Students To See Europe This Summer |

| "Humanities Abroad is not just a course for getting a one half credit toward graduation, but is a course for prestige," mentioned Mr. Paul Healy, English teacher at Maine East who is in charge of the humanities tour. To sign up for the summer tour, students should register at the bookstore. The cost is $1,080, a deposit of $80 is necessary. After signing up, information can be obtained regarding passports, clothing, and other items of interest. Only 30 students from the three Maine high schools will be able to take part. |
A summer school course is required for this tour and is scheduled from June 12th to June 23rd. After completing the course, students will jet to London. From London the tour will travel to Brussels, Cologne on the Rhine river, Austria, Venice, Florence, Rome, the Riveria in France, Monaco where they will visit Princess Grace, Geneva, Paris, and then back to England on the 28th of July. During the trip the students will be chaperoned by Mr. Healy and Miss Hazel Anderson, also a teacher at Maine East. They will stay at "good commercial establishments." |
