Peg Heads SC Public Relations

"Public Relations Committee performs many services for the students so they know that Student Council is working for them," said Peg Callaghan '65, chairman of Student Council Public Relations Committee.

As chairman of this committee, Peg is responsible for such projects as the Leadership Convention and the Dial Tone. She became chairman in her senior year after being elected and working in Council activities each year in high school. Peg has also been a member of Brotherhood Society for four years and the treasurer of Class Council her junior year.

Heard very often exclaiming "Mother Goose," Peg claims the highlights of her four years in high school was being a member of the 1964 Homecoming Court. She also participated in V-Show for two years and the Senior Class Play, is a senior leader, and has currently "starred" with "The Singing
Nuns." She has also been spending time supporting Robin Swain and Bob Burgess as two of next year's Student Council officers.

"Since I've been in high school I've learned a lot about people and how to work with them. Most everything I've learned has been through extra-curricular activities," comments Peg. Speaking about school spirit, she says, "When circumstances force students to stop activities such as M-Club initiation and election week skits, the school spirit suffers."

Peg has a list of pet peeves, one of them being back seat drivers. Another pet peeve is people who have something bothering them, but won't tell what it is. When asked what's wrong, they come back with "You confuse me." She also dislikes people who are prejudiced, emphasizing the point by proclaiming, "I'm prejudiced against prejudice!"
