MW Prejudice Stuns Daniel

"I'm really surprised that there is so much prejudice at Maine West," reported Dan Colvin '65, co-chairman of the Human Relations Committee. But he also added that the human relations project is trying to combat it among the students.

When asked what he liked best about serving on the committee, Dan admitted, "I like the feeling that I'm accomplishing something in the field of human relations; because there is so much to be done in this area. Also, all the kids on the committee gain worthy experience." Dan advised the students to aid the committee by voicing their opinions to their Student Council representatives, gathering information,
volunteering to participate in conventions, writing letters to the editor, and using the Voice of the Students' Box.

When English themes aren't keeping him hopping, Dan's position as the president of his church youth group is. He is also an active member of the Youth for Christ Club. "YFC is a going organization," claims Dan.

This 6 foot 1 inch, blonde haired, blue-eyed, always-on-the-go male relates, "My pet peeve is people who don't care about their school, other people, or themselves."
