Golfers To Open Season
April 6th

Golf season at Maine West has officially opened and although the weather outside has not been very conducive to golf, the conditions in the indoor track are fine.

Nine hopefuls, including returning letterman Clyde Rowells, are vying for the five positions on the team. For the past few weeks the boys have been practicing in the golf driving net for their first meet which will be on April 6th, if weather permits.
This year the "stickmen" have a new coach, Mr. Gene Zuccarini, who was the frosh-soph golf coach last year. He is replacing Mr. Dave Henry, who is unable to continue as coach because of other pressing school duties.

With one returning letterman and eager newcomers, the varsity may improve on its 11-2 mark of last year.
