Racketmen Host Quad Tomorrow |
||||||||||
| Maine's varsity racketmen open their season tomorrow when they host Janesville-Wisconsin's Big Eight champions, Blue Island-South Suburban kings, and Maine South in a quadrangular meet. The '65 squad has its eyes on the Conference championship. The netsters, under Coach Roger King, have five returning lettermen: Dennis Doyle, Bob French, Bob Reinhart, Jim Richards, and Claude Stewart. These five are well backed by Les Beizer, Ed |
Challberg, and George Kinsfedt. Tom Martin, a freshman this year, looks as though he will be part of many good teams to come. Blue Island and Janesville are typical of the competition the Netsters will meet in the current season. Deerfield again - looks like the team to beat in the MLS, race. Prospect, Forest View, and the two Glenbrook schools appear to be capable of providing adequate competition for the Warriors. |
