Dan Colvin Is Winner

Dan Colvin won the American Legion Constitution Contest on April 23, 1965.

Dan won out over finalists, George Morris, Richard Leyerle, Carol Copeland, Annette Sobb, Gordon Scherer, and William Klein, competing for a $100 scholarship in an oral test. Bill Klein is alternate.
The contest, sponsored by the American Legion Post in Des Plaines, was open to any student at Maine West. This year, over 100 students participated in the written objective examination. The top seven scorers became finalists and then competed for the scholarship in an oral exam.

Mr. Harlan Suffield, faculty advisor of the contest, would like to "urge all students who are interested in this contest to participate next year."
