20 Students to Visit Niles West |
||||||||||
| "A great deal of hard work has gone into this exchange program, and it should prove to be successful," commented Peg Callaghan, head of the exchange. A total of 21 students will be sent to Niles West, including Carla Fasting, our foreign exchange student. Niles West then will send 20 students to Maine. Bernie Braun, Dan Colvin, Diana De Franco, Joyce Humay, and Shirleen Ullrey are the senior representatives. Carolyn Relph, Pat Silk, Sandy Stamp, Robin Swain, and Steve Wischweh will represent the junior class. Pat Clement, Nancy Gunn, Norm Hudson, Joe |
Richardson, and Sue Ziehn represent the sophomore class. Dave Abbott, Kathy Altergot, Bill Caddy, Peggy Heller, and Carole Hway are the freshman representatives. On May 13, these students will travel to Niles West and there be assigned to a student of the same year in school and attend classes with him the entire day. The purpose of this exchange is to improve relations between the schools and to exchange ideas between the two councils. Peggy ended by saying, "I hope this idea will pave the way to more exchanges in the future." |
