Golfers Looking for First Win

The varsity MW golfers have failed in four attempts to cop their first win of 1965 this spring. The "stickmen" have been beaten by Elgin, Wheaton, Oak Park, and Downers Grove.

Returning letterman Clyde Rowells has been the mainstay of the team, averaging 81.1 strokes per 18 hole round, as compared to an 88.8 average for the other four members of the team.
Their next meet, with Prospect, will be the one the golfers from both Maine and Prospect will want to win most this year.

Continuing improvement and warmer weather should help the varsity record and also give them a chance of getting in shape for the District Meet.
