All Aboard For 'Dream Train'

"This is the one night in every senior's life that he will never be able to attend again. It will be something to remember for there is nothing left undone," proclaimed Mr. Donald Higgins, chairman of the after-prom parents' committee.

The after-prom parents' committee has been working diligently since last October to make sure that the late date will be a complete success. Members are Mr. and Mrs. Higgins, chairmen; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wurster, co-chairmen; Mr. and Mrs. Forest Owen, transportation and presentation; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fulle and Mr. and Mrs. James Williams, publicity; Mr. and Mrs. John Callaghan and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams, entertainment; Mr. and Mrs. Lad Holub and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ullrey, food; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Jacobsen, games on train; and Mr. and Mrs. Corwin Wagner, train personnel.

The late date will begin after the prom when students will go home to change their clothes for the late date. At 12:30, they will meet at the Elks' Club for a buffet supper, after which they will do a "snakedance" to the train station.
Once on the train, which leaves at 1:30 am., there will be various sorts of games and entertainment. The Memory Train will have two dancing cars with music provided by The Dimensions and The New Breed. There will also be one quiet car, one smoking car, and one gambling car with games.

At 5:30 am, the train will arrive at the train station and buses will take them to Nippersink, where breakfast will be served.

After breakfast they may go boating, bicycling, swimming in an outdoor heated swimming pool, or take walks, watch a movie, play ping-pong, tennis, or baseball. At noon, dinner will be served.

Students will be back at school around 3:30 p.m.

Reservations must be in by May 21st.
