Girls Model Spring Styles |

| "Our Fair Ladies," the Home Economics Fashion Show will be presented on Friday, May 21st, at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Parents and students are invited to attend. There will be no admission charge. Mrs. Mildred Heidorn and the orchestra will accompany the fashion show. The Clothing I, Clothing II, and Clothing III classes will participate in the show. Children will be modeling children's clothes made by the Clothing II classes. The girls in Clothing III will model the clothes they have designed. The central planning committee for the Fashion Show is Sandi Shirling '67, Barb Meyer '67, Chris Calams '67, Kathy Barry '66, Janice Mueller '65, Debbie Nelson '67, Lynda Pagel '67, Joyce Makarski '67, and Shirley Stoner '65. |
For the first time at a fashion show at Maine West, awards that have come to the Home Economics Department during the year will be presented during the intermission. The Home Economics Club Officers, Barb Gundelach, '65, president; Bonnie Gundelach '66, vice-president; Marilyn Wilke '67, treasurer; and Joyce Klotz '66, secretary will be honored. Jeanne Higgins '65, winner of the Northern Illinois Gas Company and Donna Batdorf '65, winner of the Betty Crocker Search for the Homemaker of Tomorrow will also be honored. Refreshments prepared by the girls in the foods classes will be served during intermission. The Home Economics teachers are Mrs. Joan Tempero, Miss Sherrel Roberts, Miss Karen Voorhees, and Mrs. Marian Pederson. |
