Judges Select Cheerleaders |

| Jan Erickson '67 Nancy Gunn '67, Sue Manke '67, Pat Silk '66, Mary Steele '67, and Dolores Webster '67, will be next year's varsity cheerleaders. The cheerleading clinic was held April 28th, 29th, May 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th for all sophomore and junior girls interested in becoming varsity cheerleaders for the '65-66 school year. Senior cheerleaders taught the candidates cheers, jumps, splits, stunts, and general cheer leader etiquette. |
The girls were chosen May 7th on their ability to do splits and one stunt (cart wheel, round-off, or flip). Each was also judged on her pep, coordination, jumps, poise, and appearance. Faculty and student representatives judged them. Representing the faculty were Miss Karen Adolph, sponsor; Miss Lynett Solomon, Mrs. Joyce Newcomb, Miss Dorothy Riddle, Mr. Sidney Drain, Mr. Albert Lemons, and Mr. Donald Magsamen. | |||||||||
