Panhellenic Tea Planned For Seniors |
||||||||||
| All senior girls planning to attend college in the fall should plan to come to the annual Panhellenic Tea. The girls and their mothers will be entertained at the Sorority Information Party at 3 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge at Maine West on May 23rd. Mrs. M. William Hanek is chairman of the affair being held to help prospective college girls in the Des Plaines area learn about rushing rules, sorority membership, and college life in general. It will give the senior girls and their mothers an opportunity to meet sorority alumnae from many different colleges and to ask questions about campus life, clothes, and expenses. Guest speaker at the Information Party will be Mrs. Burton Pearsall, nationally known sorority woman from Dundee, Illinois. In addition to Mrs. Pearsall's talk, there will be a display of sorority pins and Panhellenic publications. |
Invitations are being sent to all Maine West senior girls and Des Plaines girls attending Maine East who have indicated they plan to enter college. However, should any girls interested in attending the party not have received an invitation, Mrs. Hanck requests that they call her at 827-1708 for further details and reservations. A card requesting information about school activities and scholarship standing is enclosed with each invitation. Mrs. Hanck stresses the importance of each girl filling out and returning this card either at the party or by mailing it, so that the Panhellenic file will be complete and available to sorority alumnae wishing to recommend Des Plaines girls to their collegiate chapters. |
