Golfers Win 2 Of 8 Attempts

The MW varsity golfers placed 8th in their District meet on May 7th at the Mt. Prospect CC. The stickmen's 344 total left them 31 shots off the 313 pace set by first-place Prospect. Clyde Rowells led the team with an 82, followed by Don Kinder with an 86 and Jim Schleicher and Bob Means with 88's. The golfers picked up their first win of the season against Glenbrook North last week and beat Niles North on May 6th.

Thus far, the varsity stickmen have a 2-6 record. Having secured two wins after a disastrous start, they see no reason why they can't win their three remaining meets against Wheeling, Glenbrook South, and Forest View.
