New Editors Named at Quill and Scroll Banquet
Many students left the Quill and Scroll Banquet, May 18th, with happy faces. New staff members were chosen for the Legend, The Westerner, and Quill and Scroll.

Jim Leis '65, president of Quill and Scroll, started the ceremony by installing new members. After the tea Marlene Lorenz '66, was chosen new president and Linda Waters '66, secretary-treasurer. A small gold pin and a certificate was awarded to each new member.

Donna Batdorf '65, this years editor of the Legend, proudly announced next year's new staff members as Wendy Geertz '66, editor-in-chief; Sue Olson '66, business manager; Nancy Carlson '66, senior editor; James Wandrey '66, class editor; Linda Waters '66, organizations and activities editor; Linda Virostko '67, clubs editor; Dick Schellin '67, sports editor; Anita Waskowski '67, academics and copy editor; Margie Gasteier '67, administration, faculty, and staff editor; Mary Smith '68, technical assistant; Melissa Amling '68, senior assistant; Pam Barger '68, class assistant; Sue Ripley 'B8, organizations and activities assistant; Vivienne Geiger '68, clubs assistant; and Ted Waskowski '68, sports assistant.
 This year's editor of The Westerner, Lorna Seitz '65, then made a short speech and thanked last year's staff for the long and hard work they put into The Westerner to make it such a successful paper. Then Lorna presented Mr. Gerald Royer with a gift certificate from staff members for sponsoring the paper so well. She then announced the new staff.

The Westerner staff chosen was Marlene Lorenz '66, editor-in-chief; Chris Birchfield '66, and Barb Lonchar '66, managing editors; Marianne Bretsnyder '66, page-one-editor; Peggy Fisher '66, assistant page-one editor; Leslie Howard '66, page-two editor; Anna Fahnestock '66, assistant page-two editor; Mandy Rietz '66, page-three editor; Jan Nelson '67, assistant page-three editor; Bill Grice '66, page-four editor; Tom Sitarski '67, assistant page-four editor; Sue Kabot '66, copyreader; Jan Bollet '67, assistant copyreader; Kris Nielsen '66, picture editor; Joe Amenta '66, photographer; and Phyllis Naegle '68, reporter.
