| Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt this show for an important news bulletin. This news release comes straight from Miss Karen Adolph's 8th period gym class. Miss Adolph teaches at Maine West in Des Plaines, Illinois. It seems that one of Miss Adolph's Senior Leaders has started a small revolt. Miss Carole Engh, a five foot six inch blue-eyed leader, suddenly revolted against the idea of blue stripes on gym socks. Carole is now on the warpath against the stripes. When not on the warpath, Carole can often be found wherever there is a softball game. All managers of Jewel Tea Company should be on the lookout because Carole, even though she is an excellent checker, just loves Captain Crunch Cereal and cannot pass up the chance to have some. |
From some other information given us by Maine West, it seems that Carole has been on the Class Council for four years. During her senior year she was treasurer, and also Student Council representative. Besides being an excellent softball player, she has been in National Honor Society for the last two years. Next year all the students and teachers at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, had better be careful. Carole plans to major in French and become a high school French teacher after graduation. Besides school activities Carole has been fairly active in the high school youth group of the First Congregational Church of Des Plaines. Carole's busy life did not begin in high school. When she was in junior high, she was a Student Council member during 8th grade. |
