on Council
By Lorna Seitz
After working with Student Council for over a month, it's hard to keep viewing the proceedings objectively. My sole purpose on Council is to give a little more insight than what students receive from weekly homeroom reports.

I didn't agree with the first major decision passed by Council. I can see room for improvement, but through all my "objective observations," the tremendous effort put forth by many people amazes me.

THE ORGANIZATIONS Committee of Student Council is responsible for Homecoming week. Homecoming week will be called "How the West Will Win," and floats will be built in Cumberland. The committee has planned the entire week beginning with Decoration Day on Monday and concluding with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night.

There will be a parade of floats starting at 10 a.m. Saturday morning beginning at the post office down Graceland to the library.

COUNCIL HAS purchased three more bulletin boards. There are now nine bulletin boards, and any club that wants to use one may contact Diane Dormeyer '65.

THE LEGEND will be sold for the last time in the cafeteria today. The full price is $3.50 or $1.50 down-payment.

TRY-OUTS FOR the V-Show will take place in November, and the V-Show will be held on February 4th, 5th, and 6th. Girls' Dance Chorus try-outs are October 19th through 24th, and Boys' Dance Chorus try-outs are October 26th through 31st.
