| Robert Reinhart and Dawn Piotter, two Maine West seniors, tried out for the television show, Rebuttal, at Northwestern University Oct. 10th, and qualified to appear. Rob and Dawn debated four rounds on the topic, "Medical Care for the Aged." They defeated West Leyden, Highland Park, and Oaklawn, and lost to Morton West. Rob and Dawn will appear on Rebuttal sometime during the coming year. |
Rebuttal is sponsored by Northwestern University and appears on WBBM every Saturday afternoon for half an hour. Two teams debate an entirely different topic each week and the winner of each debate appears the following week to meet a new team. In June the top two winners will be announced. "Maine West should be proud of these two debaters," said Miss Jean Poling, Maine West's debate coach. |
