Homecoming 64 belongs to history |

| The day began with the Homecoming parade through town the Maine West marching band, the many floats, the girls of the court, the '63 Homecoming Queen, the cheerleaders and pom-pom girls, the Forest View cheerleaders, the class officers, and the club officers. Following the parade, a picnic was held at Maine West with refreshments being sold and a combo supplying music. The JV's lost by a close score of 7-6. After the Junior Varsity game, the parade entered the stadium at the north end of the field. The Senior Class float, "Jail the Birds," took first place; the |
language club float, "Coral the Falcons," took second place; and the Junior Class float, "Falcon's Last Stand," took third. The Varsity beat Forest View with a score of 35-7. During half time, the Homecoming court appeared on the field. The court included Peg Callahan, Diane De Franco, Jackie Hem, Beth Holmgren, and the 1964 Queen, Sandy Kunkel. Maureen Quinn, the 1963 Queen, officially crowned Queen Sandy Kunkel at the Homecoming dance "West Winds" on Saturday night. |
