| Seniors planning to attend any state university in order to teach in public schools in Illinois are urged to apply for an Illinois Teacher Education Scholarship. These four-year scholarships include tuition, activity, graduation, and matriculation fees. Applicants must rank in the upper half of their graduation class. Also applicants must state their intention in a letter to enroll in a state university and teach in a public school in Illinois. This letter must be given to Mr. Rider's secretary, Mrs. Ethel Norton, by May 15th, 1965. |
Also available are Special Education Scholarships. The requirements are the same as above, except that the letter must be addressed to the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Mr. Ray Page. The recipient must apply in the regular way on, or before, August 15th for admission to the university of his choice. This applies to either type of scholarship. |
