The Warriors broke the game wide open in the second half on two TD passes from Curren to Stoney Jackson for 38 and 17 yards. John Whalen swept the left end for 34 yards and the final score of the game.

JVs Win Two, Lose

This Saturday the JV gridmen will travel to Deerfield in quest of their second victory in a row. The kickoff will be at 12 p.m.

Last Monday the Maine West eleven crushed Lane Tech 14-6. Jim Dimatteo and Bernie Braun ran for the TDs. Ernie Garber converted both times for the extra points. The defense was very strong. They held a tough offensive team like Lane Tech to one touchdown and then blocked the extra point.

Homecoming was a different story though. The Forest View Falcons edged the gridmen 7-6. The deciding point came after the Warriors scored their TD. Garber booted the ball to the left of the uprights and that was the end of the scoring.

The Monday before Home- coming the JV eleven pounded Niles North 41-6.
