Orchestra Plans Recital

Maine West's Music Department is holding an informal recital Nov. 10th, in R-207 beginning at 3:30 p.m. Students from Mrs. Mildred Heidorn's orchestra classes will perform, and parents and students are invited. "We frequently invite guest critics from Northwestern University, the Chicago Symphony, or surrounding schools," said Mr. Robert Kuite, head of the Music Department.

Students performing in this recital are Sue Gray and Jill Schlanbusch playing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," and "Jamaican Folk Song" on the cello. A sextet including Sue Gray, Bob
Householder, Linda North, Lydia Orloff, Frank Schulz, and Linda Timmel will play "In Folk Song Style," directed by Jill Schlanbusch.

Two songs will be played by students from the Junior Orchestra. "Songs of Taiwan" will be played by Sandra Kolton, Donna Linn, Christina Sparrow, Gary Tuteweit, Chris Witkowski, Sue Witkowski, and Sue Wright accompanied by Mark Nichols. A quintet including Dan Beck, Sharon Bartlett, Sherry Henderson, Christina Sparrow, and Chris Witkowski accompanied by Mark Nichols will play "Prelude" by J. S. Bach.
