Seniors Take ACT |
||||||||||
| The American College Test is necessary for admittance to all Illinois State Schools. The top one-fourth of a class should apply for this test. The test will be given at Maine West tomorrow, Nov. 7th. Two scholarships will be given to the two highest scores in each county, providing the student has marked this on his answer sheet. The perfect score on the ACT Test is 36, which can be compared to the perfect score on the SAT Test, 800. If a student wishes to have his scores sent to a college later, he must send the application sheet on the last page with one dollar. |
The ACT Test is different from the SAT Test: schools put on the answer sheet other than those on the application sheet count. The University of Illinois would not accept anyone with a comprehensive score of 19 last year. This year the minimum score may be 20. If a person is not interested in a scholarship but wishes to go to a state university or any other college which requires this test, it can also be taken in February, April, or June. |
