Gridmen Take Second Place |

| The varsity gridmen ended the season with a 12-2 win over Glenbrook North on Nov. 6th. The victory gave the Warriors a share of second place in the final MSC standings. Prospect and GB South finished in a tie for first place. Touchdowns for the Warriors were made by Cichowski and Kuzich (pass from Curren). A safety for the Spartans in the last quarter made the score 12-2. However, their hopes for a TD were ended when Whelan intercepted a pass with 1:35 left in the game. JVs Win The JVs closed their season with a victory by romping Glenbrook North 19-7. Harrison scored for MW in the first quarter. In the second period Dimatteo scored a TD which was accompanied by an extra point. In the third quarter the Spartans scored on an 80-yard pass interception. |
The extra point was good, and the Warriors' lead was cut to 13-7. Hansch plunged into the end zone for the final TD in the fourth period. The JVs over-all record is 4-6-0. Sophs Down GBN The sophs downed Glenbrook North Saturday morning on Nov. 7th 32-0. Dale Haase scored twice and Ernie Fulbright made three TD5 during the final contest of the season. Frosh Undefeated Frosh "A" remained unbeaten in seven games, scoring 28-12 in their contest with Glenbrook North on Nov. 7th while playing on MW's gridiron. Bob Banger scored once and Kahler scored three times. Sorenson scored two points on a safety. |
