| "The annual Christmas faculty tea is a tradition that is looked forward to by everyone," Mrs. Lucille Stiles, chairman of the Home Economics Department, pointed out. Since the opening of Maine West five years ago, the Home Economics Department has sponsored a tea for the faculty and office personnel during the Christmas season. One-half of the faculty will be invited to a tea in the A-106 living room on Dec. 10th, and the remainder will be invited on Dec. 17th. |
The informal tea is a cooperative effort of all the members in the Home Economics Department. The girls in Miss Norma Benner's and Miss Karen Voorhee's cooking classes will prepare the food, assist at the tea, and also do the decorating. The traditional favorite served at the tea is Wassail, a hot spicy cider served with coffee or tea. Colorful cookies, fruit cake, and various breads will also be served. Faculty members of the Home Economics Department will be the hostesses at the tea. Serving will begin at 3:20 p.m. |
