Santa Claus Visits Faculty's Children at Christmas Party |
||||||||||
| Christmas is almost here and parties are festive. The Girls' Business Club, and the; Boys' Business Club are providing a Christmas party on Wednesday, Dec. 16th for the children of the faculty of Maine West. The cafeteria decorated in Christmas designs, is the scene for Santa Claus and his helpers. Santa and company will be portrayed by students of these two clubs. They will be at the door to greet the children and later to distribute the gifts from Santa. A variety of refreshments are scheduled for the party includ-ing candy, cookies, punch, pop, and other delights. |
"What Happened in Toyland" is the name of the play that will be performed for the children's benefit. A Christmas story in fairytale form with a modern touch of space travel to it, is the basic idea of the play. Invitations have been sent out to married faculty members' children. All the parents are invited to attend. "A large number of children and their parents are expected," said Pat Helfers, '65 president of Girls' Business Club. If more information is desired, contact Mrs. Nancy Kirby, sponsor of the Girls' Business Club, or Mr. Wallace Hommerding, sponsor of the Boy's Business Club. |
