Illini Grad Joins Staff

By Wendy Wallace

"When I have to repeat myself in explaining, or when kids say 'I can't,' and won't try" are pet peeves of Miss Nancy Ferguson, Maine's new girls' P.E. teacher.

After graduation from the University of Illinois last year, Miss Ferguson did some student teaching at Morton West, and then joined the Maine Staff this fall.

Miss Ferguson is one of those participating gym teachers who is interested in just about anything. Among her interests are swimming, dancing, guitar playing, and traveling. "The only thing is," she claims, "I can't find time to do most of them."
Miss Ferguson, who is 5 feet, 5 1/2 inches tall and has blue eyes and blond hair, was born in Toledo, Ohio, and has a sister who is a senior.

While in college, Miss Ferguson participated in V-Shows, danceing, acting, and swimming.

While in college, Miss Ferguson participated in V-shows, dancing, acting, and swimming. She is very fond of swimming and is in charge of the Aquianas.

She became interested in teaching in her junior year in high school. Miss Ferguson offers the suggestion to those who want to teach P.E. to go to a large school.
