Homerooms Fill Stockings To Help Orphaned Children

Girls' Club placed Christmas stockings in all homerooms, Dec. 11th. Homerooms are now asked to fill them with small toys and hard candy.

Members of the homerooms may either contribute money, then have a committee select some presents, or each person may chose some gifts on his own.

When filled, these stockings will be sent to orphanages as gifts. Mrs. Meredith Tucker, Girls' Club sponsor, added "These will probably be the only presents those orphans will receive."
The Girls' Club is participating in this project in cooperation with the Junior Red Cross.

This year's officers of Girls' Club are Linda Petkus '65, president; Kris Nielson '66, vicepresident; Karen Kluessendorf '65, secretary; and Mel Morrison '65, treasurer.

Linda reminds us, "The Girls' Club will also be sponsoring the Girls' Choice Dance in February."
