Clubs enjoy xmas parties

By Phyllis Naegele

During the past few days many different clubs have had their Christmas parties. Both students and teachers alike had lots of fun and were pleased with turnouts.

"Fun" was the word last Dec. 16th. All the members of GAA were invited to a Christmas party at Maine South. Trampoline and volleyball were among the main events, and all attending brought a 25 cent grab bag gift. During all the bouncing and jumping, time was found to serve refreshments.

All GAA members and their mothers were also invited by Maine South to a Mother-Daughter Play Night. It was held in one of Maine's fine gyms on Dec. 12th. Mothers and daughters enjoyed swimming, volleyball, table tennis, and other sports and games.
The German Club was also having a grand time, when last night it had its Christmas party. The students attending enjoyed entertainment, singing German carols, and refreshments. There was a fine turnout for the party.

The Girls' and Boys' Business Clubs combined sponsored a Christmas party. The party was provided for faculty children and their parents. Santa Claus was at the door to greet the children and later to distribute gifts. Everyone was in a Christmas spirit.

Who will be the lucky one to break the Pinata at the Spanish Club Christmas party? Spanish Club members attending the party will know today after school. Refreshments and entertainment will be served at the party.

Club members and sponsors had a good time at the parties and hope next year's parties will be as good.
