Foster child writes christmas greetings

Dear foster parents,

How time flies! After Autumn, here is winter! It is cold and leaves are falling down from the trees. They are the sign that a year is coming to an end. I am sending all my love to you with wishes for a lot of health and safety to your family. My little brother and I go to school regularly every day. My mother trades as usual. My father is staying home to look after my little brothers.

On Sept. 22nd, I have received the sum of VN$580, three soapcakes, a white towel and 10 copy-books from you. I am very happy; so is my family.
The year of 1964 will be finished within two months and 1965 is coming. On the occasion of Christmas and the New-Year, due to the long time that letters will take to reach your country. Right now I am sending my best wishes for joy and luck to you and your family. May God bless you.

Last Sunday my parents took me to a photographer's and we had taken this photo together to send to you for keeping as a souvenir from us. Having my photo near you, I hope that you will feel as if I were really beside you. I am working hard in school in order to have a beautiful handwriting and to speak well about customs and traditions in my country.

Respectfully,
Hoang-Nhut-My
