||||||||||
| Next Tuesday the 3:10 p.m. bell means freedom from books and classes for two weeks. It seems most of the students will spend their time loafing and sleeping, but there are some who will be traveling. Detroit, Mich., will have the honor of being visited by Karen Brothe '66, Dan Colvin '65, and Rich Hudson '66. They will be attending the YFC Holiday Teen Convention. Pam Fisher '67, is probably heading south to visit relatives, while Martha Rohrman '67, is going south to St. Louis. Mr. Harold Todd, English teacher, will make the rounds of Illinois. He will travel to Lawrenceville, Springfield, and Carbondale. Driving instructor, Mr. Richard Mueller, might be found in Florida during Christmas Speaking of Florida, Becky Conklin '67, may possibly continue her vacation there after first going to Springfield, Ill. Cindy Kaechele '66, is going to bask in Florida's sunshine. Sandy Stamp '66, can compete with Cindy for a tan, since she will be loafing under the California sun. |
Ski slopes beware! There will be a few Mainites making brave attempts. Barb Lonchar '66, and Kris Nielsen '66, will be at a resort in Elk Grove, while Kurt Soroosh '67, will be skiing in Michigan. Miss Angela Zabransky, art teacher, will enjoy her Christmas Day in Milwaukee, Wis. New York is German teacher Miss Rosalie Streng's destination. There she will attend a professional convention, and top off her vacation by skiing. Headed for Rockford, Ill., and Ann Arbor, Mich., is Mr. Walter Boston, history teacher. There he and his family will visit relatives. A last reminder - enjoy your vacation, because three weeks after returning there are semester exams to look forward to! |
