MW Tankers Sink Old Foe, Lose To Elgin |

| The varsity swimmers came back after two defeats to beat an old foe, Riverside-Brookfield, Tuesday in the Maine West pool. The Warriors gained victory in the last event, winning 53-42. The Riverside-Brookfield meet has always been a challenge to the swimmers; last year West suffered defeat by only one point at the hands of RB. The Warriors haven't been successful in other endeavors, however, having lost to Glenbrook South, 46-49, last Friday and to Elgin, 40-55, on Nov. 28th. |
Taking firsts for the Warriors against Riverside-Brookfield were both relay teams, composed of Norm Hudson, Gary Robbins, Craig Erven, Bob Syphers, Reed Erven, Craig Vosburgh, Tom Junius, and Dave Ladendorf; 200-yard individual medley, Reed Erven; diving, Rich Hoffmeyer; and 100-yard butterfly, Tom Gast. Frosh-Soph Win Two The frosh-soph defeated Glenbrook South, 57-31, and Riverside-Brookfield, 52-43. The Warriors meet Prospect today at 4:30p.m. in a home contest. |
