AFS Week Profits Told |
||||||||||
| "A big success" is the only thing that can be said about the results of this year's AFS Week. The week began with taffy apple sales on Monday. A record hop was held in the cafeteria on Tuesday, with the "Frantics" providing the musical entertainment. An Ice Cream Social was Wednesday's event. Ice cream and cookies were sold in the cafeteria after school. Taffy apples were again sold on Thursday. The Carnival was the final event of AFS Week. |
The Senior Class' booth was penny-pitching, the Junior Class had a cake-walk, and the Sophomore Class had a nail hammering contest. SC's Public Relations Committee had a balloon-hula-hooping skill test, Citizenship and Service Committee had a fortune-telling booth, Organizations Committee sponsored air-gun shooting, and the Social Committee had bean-bag throwing. The Junior Class booth made the most money for the carnival. The winner of the Muscleman Contest, Ernie Fulbright '67, was also announced at the Carnival. Total profit made during AFS Week was $271.97. |
